We are seeking an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in public accounting, financial data and reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Perform sophisticated financial and account analysis, including balance sheet and income statement analysis, account-level reviews, and integrated revenue and expense analyses.
- Perform detailed fluctuation, variance, and trend analysis to identify unusual activity, emerging risks, and key business drivers.
- Work cross functionally in the implementation of the Stripe application
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Collaborate across Finance and the broader organization to strengthen reporting, controls, and business decision-making.
- Apply analytical rigor to account balances and financial results, identifying errors, control issues, and risks that could materially affect the company’s financial statements.
- Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting processes, helping ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial results
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to requests, researching accounting matters, and partnering with auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate financial results, accounting issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to multiple levels of the organization and escalate significant matters to management when appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting, audit, financial reporting, or related experience.
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred, with demonstrated experience in audit, financial statement analysis, technical accounting, or financial reporting.
- Previous experience analyzing account activity and financial results, investigating variances, identifying trends and anomalies, and explaining the underlying business drivers.
- Advanced knowledge of the interpretation and application of U.S. GAAP
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience working on the implementation of the Stripe application or any other similar system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial and accounting matters to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Fabric
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience using data extraction or query tools to analyze financial information.
- Experience partnering with geographically dispersed or non-U.S.-based accounting teams preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required.
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
