The Accountant role is key to supporting our business scale-up and enhancing financial efficiency. By maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with local regulations, the Accountant will play a vital role in our growth strategy.
This position will work cross-functionally with other departments to provide financial insights and operational support, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for the Swiss entity (primary focus), including
- Trend and variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare annual statutory financial statements, ensuring they meet local statutory and compliance requirements
Manage accruals and related accounting processes (experience with accruals is considered a strong advantage)
Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Swiss regulations
Prepare and file all applicable tax returns for the entity
Oversee internal and external communications (tax office, banks, auditors, consultants)
Oversee Accounts payable and check payments
Responsible for the controlling of the Swiss entity
Assist in the development of internal reporting and ad hoc analysis as required
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of accounting experience in a similar environment
German language is an advantage
Professional Microsoft Excel and ERP knowledge
Strong Background with Swiss Local Code, Swiss GAAP standards, and US GAAP is a plus
High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy
