Job DescriptionRole purpose:
To support Chief Accountant in various accounting, reporting and compliance activities to ensure conformity with local statutory and Syngenta corporate requirements.
Role responsibilities:
- Books accounting documents and works effectively with Syngenta ERP system
- Performs reconciliation of assets and Fixed Assets Register
- Supports indirect procurement process
- Processes accounts payable documentation and bank statements, including preparation of payment proposals via online banking system
- Updates and maintains general ledger including reconciliations, accounts payable, cost accounting and cost allocations
- Supports monthly closing process
- Contributes to monthly/yearly tax reporting obligations
- Prepares monthly and quarterly reports for Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and National Statistical Institute (NSI)
Required knowledge & technical capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Auditing/Accounting/Finance/Economics.
- Fluent in English language (written and spoken).
- Good Knowledge of the SAP, Concur, Ariba systems.
- Experience in SOX compliance.
- Good knowledge of local and international financial and accounting standards.
- Good knowledge of tax legislation and other applicable legislation.
