We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the integrity of our financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements, and supporting key operational areas such as Procure-to-Pay and tax compliance. The ideal candidate is a CPA with exceptional attention to detail, and a proven ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for completion of monthly and quarterly financial close process including balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process as needed, including invoice coding, approval workflows, and vendor compliance.
- Ensure adherence to SOX compliance requirements by maintaining proper documentation, supporting internal control testing, and implementing process improvements to strengthen the control environment.
- Assist with tax compliance, including property tax, sales/use tax, and corporate filings.
- Coordinate with SEC Reporting and FP&A and assist in the preparation and analysis of quarterly variance, budgets/forecasts vs actual variances and other ad hoc schedules.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and financial close processes and improve efficiency.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Assist in other ad hoc projects including but not limited to system upgrade, local statue/government audit, etc.
Qualifications
Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA license
- 5-10 + years Accounting experience with exposure to the medical device, life sciences or high tech. product industries
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement successful and maintainable process changes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
- Strong communicator both verbal and written
- Must excel in a fast paced start-up type environment
- Experience with Netsuite a plus
The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $100,000 - $120,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
