As our Senior Accountant, you’ll partner closely with our Director of Finance to build and strengthen a finance function that supports our daily operations and growing commercial footprint. In this multifaceted role, you’ll contribute across accounting, payroll, insurance program management and financial planning — helping us operate with accuracy, clarity and scale as our team expands. The ideal candidate will have:
- Accounting operations- including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, internal financial statements, and treasury/cash management.
- Payroll and compliance- processing semi-monthly payroll in Paychex, coordinating with PeopleOps, and supporting state and agency reporting requirements.
- Accounts Payable- vendor setup, bill entry, payments, credit card program management, expense reporting, and 1099 filings.
- Accounts receivable- customer set up, invoice creation, collections, and revenue-related support.
- Financial Admin- managing the shared finance inbox, documenting policies and procedures, and partnering with the Director of Finance on internal controls, support external audit and tax engagements.
- FP&A- monthly variance analysis, budgeting support, and recurring/ad-hoc reporting for department leaders.
- Financial reporting- create dashboards contribute to cash projections, and internal reporting using PowerBI, PowerPoint, and related tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, FP&A, or a combination of both.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and partner cross-functionally.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with payroll systems (Paychex preferred).
- This role is based out of our office in Boston, MA. We operate in a hybrid model, with regular in-office days Monday and Wednesday.
- The anticipated base salary range for this position at Elucid is $110,000-125,000. Compensation will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, job-related knowledge, skills, education, relevant experience, certifications, and geography as outlined in the job description.
