The Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity of accounting information and accurate financial statements through strong internal controls and accounting knowledge.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Proactive management of month-end accounting, reporting and account reconciliations.
- Support budget & forecasts preparation and reporting according to schedule.
- Provides information and analysis to support business decisions.
- Manage and prepare parent company reporting requirements through Hyperion.
- Ensure compliance with Marmon’s Standard Practice Instructions, Sarbanes Oxley, Internal Controls and FCPA and support internal audits.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
- Implement new processes and systems, such as ACH payments, to ensure continued improvement.
- Acts as a finance partner to leadership and project teams.
- Ad hoc projects as needed and other duties as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years related experience
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or related
- Accounting designation (preferred)
- Problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP platforms
- Self-motivated, organized, with strong attention to detail
