Senior Accountant

Title:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with strong Power BI skills to manage project financials and deliver insightful reporting. The ideal candidate will combine accounting expertise with data visualization capabilities to track project costs, revenues, budgets, and forecasts, Receivables  helping stakeholders make data-driven decisions throughout the project lifecycle

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee project accounting activities including cost tracking, revenue recognition, billing, and  monitoring expenses, Receivables and Perform  Month end activities
• Highly skilled Power BI Expert with strong experience in Finance and Accounting domains to design and deliver insightful, data-driven reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will leverage Power BI to analyze financial data, streamline reporting processes, and provide actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making
• Support month-end and project close processes by ensuring accurate project financial records.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and actuals to identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Automate routine reporting to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls related to project finances.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support project decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI for report development, data modeling, and visualization.
• Solid understanding of project management financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
• Expertise in DAX and Power Query for building complex financial models and reports.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, FCCS, MSD) and project management tools.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with project and finance teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recognized professional qualification (CA/CWA/ACCA or CIMA) with relevant work-experience of 4+ years or Semi-qualified professionals / undergraduate / Post graduate degree in commerce with minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with project accounting software and tools.
• Familiarity with accounting principles relevant to projects (e.g., percentage of completion).
• Power BI certification or relevant finance/accounting qualifications.
• Knowledge of financial audit and compliance related to projects.
