The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records in accordance with US GAAP. Core responsibilities include overseeing the general ledger, preparing journal entries, leading balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting both month-end and year-end close processes. This individual will play a critical role in identifying and investigating anomalies, supporting internal controls and SOX compliance, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure data quality and consistency. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and highly analytical, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records, preparing journal entries, and the month-end and year-end close process.
- Maintain and perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP, such as credit card receivables, cash, other assets and liabilities, etc.
- Consistently review schedules for unusual items or potential aged items and perform investigation and research to determine proper accounting treatment.
- Assist in day-to-day accounting, ad-hoc tasks, and special projects as needed.
- Working cross functionally within accounting and other operational teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal control documentation in compliance with SOX.
- Streamline financial reporting processes to meet evolving business needs.
- Support and assist Inventory, Accounts Payable, Customer Service as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting is required; CPA certification is a plus
- 3+ years of relevant experience. Experience in a consumer products and/or e-commerce company is a plus
- Intermediate level understanding of US GAAP
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks assigned, while ensuring the accuracy of the work and completion within designated deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Be open to change to improve processes, strengthen controls and gain efficiencies

Annual base pay: $90,000 - $110,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
