Location: Remote in The Bahamas

Lucayan Technology Solutions LLC is a dynamic and fast-growing government contracting firm. We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Senior Accountant to support our finance department with full-spectrum accounting functions—from billing and receivables to financial reporting and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process both simple and complex invoices, ensuring alignment with government contract requirements.

  • Liaise with government customers to address billing inquiries, payment tracking, and provide supporting documentation.

  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting.

  • Process biweekly or monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions to staff and tax agencies.

  • Assist with monthly and year-end close and the preparation of accurate financial statements, including detailed contract P&Ls.

  • Support the Financial Controller with reporting and analysis to guide executive decision-making.

  • Update cash management projections and provide relevant analysis.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and support internal and external audits.

  • Collaborate with other departments to track billable project costs and vendor payments.

  • Stay current with industry best practices, accounting standards, and compliance regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).

  • Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on government contracting and financial reporting.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, government contract compliance, payroll processing, and financial analysis.

  • Software: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
