Accounting Manager

Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with a strong background in revenue accounting to join our growing finance team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606), and the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of revenue and month end close processes, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous process improvement. An ideal candidate will have a desire to own the revenue function.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and standardize the revenue accounting process which includes customer onboarding, relationship management, contract review, invoice preparation, revenue recognition, supporting documentation and revenue related reporting.
• Work cross functionally with the growth, sales and other teams to streamline billing, collection and revenue processes.
• Prepare revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606.
• Own preparation of the month-end close activities including, but not limited to, revenue recognition, commissions, benefits, expenses, accruals, cash and internal use software.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Document accounting conclusions in audit memos.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Assist in audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency to proactively shorten close timelines.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years focused on revenue accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with revenue automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Netsuite and Ramp
• CPA license
• Familiarity with revenue automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
