Senior Accountant at Lob

Lob is seeking an energetic and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, performing financial analysis, preparing schedules for the annual audit, helping to develop and implement processes and procedures, and assisting with special projects.
To be successful in this role, this individual should exhibit passion for the accounting, an ability to exercise good judgment, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and be a change agent.
As the Senior Accountant, you’ll…
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare journal entries including accruals
- Analyze and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with flux analysis of general ledger accounts
- Record cash transactions and prepare bank reconciliations
- Process and monitor fixed assets and capitalization of internally developed software
- Process and monitor capitalized commissions process
- Process and monitor prepaid expenses including additions and amortization
- Accrue for cost of goods sold and other vendor accruals
- Assist with sales tax compliance procedures
- Assist with development of various accounting processes/process documentation
- Assist with the preparation and review of prepared by client (PBC) schedules during the annual audit
- Assist with ad-hoc projects assigned by Accounting Manager or Controller
What will you bring to this role…
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3 to 5 years of progressive corporate accounting and public accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Strong background working with general ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit
- Microsoft Excel proficient (V-lookups, Sum-ifs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Great team-player with a positive attitude with a strong propensity for initiative, resourcefulness, and flexibility in response to shifting priorities
- Excellent communication skills as frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders will be required
- PST or MT zones preferred

Compensation Information
This position is structured to receive a base salary + Restricted Stock Units
Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $102,500.00
