Join Aprio's Outsourced Accounting team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio, LLP is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. 

Position responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team to provide outsourced accounting services for nonprofit clients.
  • Establish and foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Ensure timely communication as to project status both internally and externally.
  • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, GAAP based financial statement packages and supporting analytical worksheets.
  • Process transactions which may include accounts payable, cash disbursements and receipts, customer invoicing, and payroll processing.
  • Become technically proficient in several cloud-based accounting software systems.
  • Access and utilize online systems including; accounts payable systems, banking systems, vendor systems, contribution/donation systems.
  • Prepare and review monthly close entries including payroll, fringe, prepaid and liability accruals.
  • Work independently in a highly flexible, remote model utilizing MS Teams.
  • Support clients with audit and tax schedules and coordination.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting OR combination of non-accounting degree and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or Sage Intacct preferred.
  • Superior time management and organization skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to provide top quality customer service.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Previous experience in a client facing accounting or audit role preferred.
