We believe buying enterprise software should be simple, pleasant, and fast instead of complex, painful, and slow (which is how it is today). Buyers now want instant access to presales (sales engineering) resources throughout the buying experience but they find it harder and harder to get what they need. Using Consensus, a sales engineering team builds a library of reusable interactive video demos that Sales sends out on-demand. Consensus automatically personalizes the experience and tracks engagement as the prospect shares the demo with other stakeholders in the buying group, bringing the entire buying group to live demos better educated and ready to talk specifics. 


This not only reduces unqualified demos to near zero and can double the presales team’s productivity, it also removes the "demo lag time" for prospects and shortens the sales cycle by as much as 68%.

About the Role: 

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who has in-depth knowledge of GAAP principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strives for operational excellence. We are looking for someone with a strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly, quarterly, annual close, and financial reporting process. We would like this person to help us develop a “white glove” approach to our relationships with our ideal customer profile (ICP), striving to deliver an excellent experience for them on the quote to cash cycle with us. We also want someone who is highly detail oriented, is a self starter, and possesses the ability to deliver results under deadlines as well as work effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist Senior Manager of Revenue and Accounting Operations with quote to cash process and automation
  • Establish partnerships with enterprise customers in order to create a “white glove” approach with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
  • Manage all customer billing portals for PO and invoice processing
  • Partner with internal and external parties on AR and AP management, including weekly aging schedule reviews
  • Assist with preparation of semi-monthly payroll and related workpapers
  • Assist with month-end closing process and ensuring the close is completed in a timely fashion
  • Actively seek and execute opportunities to improve financial accuracy and financial statement timeliness 
  • Work with Accounting Management team the to build, document, and implement processes and procedures
  • Provide internal summary reporting to finance leadership 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
  • SaaS experience a plus
  • At least 2-4 years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in accounting principles, accrual accounting, GAAP standards, and tech-forward accounting techniques
  • Previous experience in financial close responsibilities
  • Excellent proficiency in Quickbooks online, and Excel (ERP experience a plus)
  • Experience with other systems integration with QBO
  • Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication and self-management skills 
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem solving tendencies, analytical skills, and a forward-thinking mindset

Compensation Notice: 

Compensation is anticipated to be between $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
