Role Responsibilities
The Settlement Accounting Analyst is responsible for the accounting design, recording, analysis, and reconciliation of financial transactions related to the products managed within the Settlement function. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supports month-end and year-end closing activities, maintains compliance with internal and external audit requirements, and contributes to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Perform daily accounting entries related to banks, cash transportation companies, payment processors, intercompany accounts, and other financial operations.
- Monitor and validate daily accounting postings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving outstanding items in a timely manner.
- Produce high-quality weekly and monthly reports and ensure all reconciliation and reporting deadlines are met.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Maintain strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective service delivery and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and internal/external audit standards.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, standardization, and automation within the Settlement function.
- Contribute to projects that impact Settlement operations and support the implementation of new processes and controls.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; students in the final stages of their degree or recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in account analysis, reconciliations, auditing, or related accounting functions.
- Intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required; experience with databases, Oracle, JD Edwards, macros, and AI tools is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning and detail oriented. Work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
