Maintain accurate NGO books and project accounts; manage grants, donations, donor funds, FCRA and CSR accounting; prepare financial statements, MIS reports, reconciliations, statutory returns, and audit documentation; monitor budgets and fund utilization; coordinate with program teams, auditors, and management; and ensure compliance with internal controls, donor requirements, and statutory obligations.

 Monitor project-wise accounting and support budget tracking and variance
analysis
 Ensure timely payment of statutory dues including TDS, PF, ESI, Professional
Tax, and GST (if applicable)
 Assist in preparation and filing of statutory returns and compliance
documentation
 Coordinate with internal auditors, statutory auditors, and donor auditors by
providing required financial documents and schedules
 Maintain proper accounting records, vouchers, and audit-ready documentation

 Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial summaries for management review
 Liaise with program teams for fund utilization, supporting documents, and
compliance requirements
 Perform bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and account finalization activities
 Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and organizational policies
Required Skills & Competencies:
 Strong understanding of NGO accounting and compliance requirements
 Hands-on experience in FCRA accounting and donor fund management
 Knowledge of CSR fund accounting and utilization tracking
 Working knowledge of accounting software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or
similar ERP systems
 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting
 Good understanding of statutory compliances including TDS, PF, ESI, GST, and
Income Tax
 High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
 Strong analytical and organizational skills
 Good communication and coordination skills
 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Qualification & Experience:
 Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (M.Com / MBA Finance
preferred)
 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in
NGOs/Trusts/Societies
 Experience handling donor reporting, FCRA, CSR accounting, and audits is
preferred
Preferred Experience:
 Experience working with NGOs, development sector organizations, or charitable
trusts
 Exposure to grant accounting, donor reporting formats, and project-based
accounting

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting
