Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant (CPA) who is interested in developing into a future finance leader. This role blends technical accounting responsibilities with meaningful exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic decision support. The ideal candidate possesses strong familiarity with GAAP, an analytical mindset, and a desire to connect financial results to business performance within a fast-paced, data-driven environment. This position also provides opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to key finance initiatives across the organization.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to support decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional finance and accounting initiatives.
  • Prepare management reporting packages and executive presentations.
  • Play a significant role in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition and related accounting activities.
  • Support audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Analyze performance, event profitability, and key business metrics.
  • Mentor and review work of Staff Accountants and junior team members.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and process development\
Qualifications

Requirements

  • CPA designation or active CPA candidate required.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ticketing, live entertainment, sports, hospitality, e-commerce, or other high-volume transactional environments.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools, including close management and account reconciliation workflows.
  • Experience leveraging BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated interest in FP&A, operational finance, and strategic business partnership.
  • Experience working in entrepreneurial, high-growth, or technology-driven organizations.

Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Skills Required
