We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting/Finance team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records while supporting operational leaders and management with timely financial reporting and insights.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with strong accounting expertise and a desire to contribute beyond traditional accounting functions. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business and partner closely with leadership on strategic and operational initiatives.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for key accounting processes including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and support of budgeting and forecasting activities. This individual will help ensure compliance with accounting standards, strengthen internal controls, and assist in driving continuous improvement throughout the accounting/finance organization.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations (cash/general ledger) and investigate variances.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Support compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Execute critical close procedures and meet reporting deadlines.
- Analyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for management review.
- Assist in improving close processes and reducing reporting cycle times.
- Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, adjustments, and variances.
- Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
- Analyze inventory valuation, turnover, and cost trends.
- Partner with operations to improve inventory controls and reporting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support operational leaders by providing financial analysis and reporting.
- Develop meaningful reports and KPIs that support decision-making.
- Participate in special projects, process improvements, and system implementations.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to company policies.
- Assist with process documentation and accounting policy updates.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and financial analysis tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate.
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience in manufacturing and multi-location operations.
- Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5–8+ years of accounting experience in a mid-to-large company
- High proficiency in Excel, including troubleshooting macros
