As a Senior Accountant on the Accounting team, you will be a key contributor to the company's financial statements by supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
You Will:
Month-End Close Processes
Support month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
Apply accrual accounting fundamentals to monthly accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activity
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving variances in a timely manner using strong research and communication skills with partner teams across Finance
Prepare monthly and quarterly flux analyses, providing clear explanations of variances to finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Prepare and post intercompany entries as required
Analyze data against business drivers to identify trends and issues
Conduct accounting research and prepare documentation on new or non-routine topics to ensure proper accounting treatment is applied
Own various projects and analyses to ensure balances are complete and accurate by establishing and maintaining a framework to monitor, investigate, and resolve issues
Process Improvement, Automation & Systems
Identify and implement automation opportunities across the accounting cycle, leveraging AI and modern tooling to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy and scalability
Analyze current accounting workflows and contribute to initiatives that enhance efficiency and scalability
Participate in ad-hoc and cross-functional projects including ERP optimization, new system implementations and integrations, and accounting policy changes
Help build scalable processes that reduce manual intervention and eliminate operational dependencies
Internal Controls and Cross Functional Support
Ensure internal controls, policies, and procedures are properly documented and consistently followed, with audit trails, to support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
Participate in process and control reviews and partner with stakeholders to remediate control gaps
Respond to audit requests, including preparation of supporting documentation and coordination with external auditors
Support financial reporting and ad hoc information requests from internal stakeholders, ensuring data is accurate, well-documented, and delivered on time
Collaborate regularly with business partners to ensure accurate accounting for monthly accruals and new business initiatives
Work effectively with stakeholders across teams, regions, and different cultural backgrounds
You Have:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in an accounting or similar role
Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals — accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, flux/variance analysis, and month-end close — and how to apply U.S. GAAP to general ledger accounting
Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements in a multi-entity environment
Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal
A forward-thinking approach to technology, with demonstrated interest or experience implementing automation or AI tools to improve accounting workflows
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines across a global close calendar
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with an interest in building scalable processes and improving data quality
Curiosity and strong ability to dive into details and drive insights from data: understanding not only what is happening, but why it is happening
Exposure to large data sets and proficiency with Excel and/or SQL
Self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly-changing environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience working within a global shared services or regional finance center, partnering with stakeholders across time zones
CPA or equivalent certification
Public accounting and/or audit background
Experience working with NetSuite, Oracle, or another ERP system
Experience in fintech or high-growth environments
