Sparrow Company is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our valued clients in the Summerlin, Nevada area.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated trial balances and financial statements.
- Post monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries and perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, debt, and equity.
- Coordinate company-wide allocation entries from departments such as IT, Human Resources, and Purchasing.
- Oversee the closing and reconciliation of front-end sales transactions within SAP.
- Prepare annual budgets related to vehicle licensing and property insurance expenses.
- Maintain amortization schedules for company-wide vehicle registrations and annual insurance premiums.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports for management and operational teams.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to requests from external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.
- Execute internal controls to ensure compliance with JSOX requirements.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Cash accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with flexibility to support changing business needs.
