This position is responsible for complex accounting and reporting requirements of the company and performs managerial operating or cost accounting activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains and reconciles and fixed assets schedules
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Prepares monthly management and financial reporting
- Assess internal controls, including risk assessment and reviews of risk areas
- Monitor and support taxation requirements.
- Manage and support accounting assistants
- Support accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation.
- Assists with external and internal audit requests by providing information to auditors.
- Performs special duties and other projects as assigned.
- Adheres to all company policies.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- SAP experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Must be an outstanding communicator with established skills in accuracy and working in a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrate ability to support all other departments within the company.Advanced knowledge of accounting and GAAP principles,
- Extensive knowledge of the theory and practice of recording, classifying, examining and analyzing the data and records of financial transactions.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to meet strict and frequent deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of people.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration or related field required, plus a minimum of five years of accounting/finance experience including financial reporting requirements. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or master's degree a strong plus.
