Massiv Die-Form is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team!
Massiv Die-Form, a division of Cosma International, is an operating unit of Magna International, is one of the world‘s premier global automotive suppliers providing a comprehensive range of body, chassis, and engineering solutions to our customers.
At Massiv Die-Form, we design and build medium to large automotive and hot stamping dies. Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, uploading to One Stream (OS) and reconciliations
Maintain local chart of Accounts
Maintain mapping of local GL accounts to OS
Assist in preparation of month end/year end financial statements, financial projections and month end reports for management and corporate information purposes
Assist in preparation of detailed annual operating and capital budget and multi-year financial plans (budgets) and Forecasts
Prepare invoices for Intercompany chargebacks
Analyze ongoing service contracts and leases
Prepare month end Revenue Recognition spreadsheet including reconciliations to G/L
Job Profitability & billing analysis
Prepare Management reports (eg. Labour Trend, Cost of Quality & Vacation)
Administration of foreign currency hedging program.
May occasionally be required to go to the Bank to make deposits or payments.
Prepare and coordinate fixed asset and capital requests
Prepare annual capital budgets for all operations
Maintain divisional capital database
Assist in monthly reforecast
Prepare monthly opportunity and risk schedules and variance analysis reports for corporate reporting
Assist with audits (internal and external) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monthly reporting of WSIB/EHT/Manulife and yearly reconciliations as required
Additional ad hoc reporting to Management and/or Corporate as required
Perform other reasonable duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
Accounting or Finance post-secondary degree or diploma required
CPA or close to CPA completion
Minimum of four to five years related experience. Automotive experience is an asset, but not required.
Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing or equivalent, General Ledger, Job Costing, A/P, A/R, data transfer
Advanced Microsoft Word/Excel
Additional Information:
In-office position
Overtime may be required at times, especially during month end
Salary range: $78,000-105,000 based on candidate experience and qualifications
