POSITION SUMMARY:
The commercial coordinator interfaces with the corporate team and customer on any commercial issues related to cost and timing. In addition, the commercial coordinator is a facilitator of information flow between departments on commercial related issues.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Post-secondary education in Business or Commerce, or equivalent education and experience
Minimum two (2) – three (3) years experience in costing and quoting, preference given to automotive or related manufacturing experience
Good organizational and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast passed environment and with a variable workload
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to uphold confidentiality
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to work overtime to meet business needs
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to customer request for quotes (RFQs) and engineering changes with cost and timing
Creates and maintains excellent customers relations
Works closely with other departments to analyze profitability using optimum manufacturing/design techniques via Modatek Engineering Change Process
Identifies and propose cost improvement opportunities
Expands customers awareness of Modatek and our capabilities to implement changes and to develop a trusting and respectful relationship with our customers
Suggests and implements improvements to internal process, information and procedures
Assists in developing and maintaining a quote model and pricing strategy
Maintains cost and sales reports for tracking and overall program profitability
Knows and understands process documents and customer specific requirements as they relate to this job function
Coordinates and supports commercial customer audits
Creates and maintains customer supplier tooling records
Reviews and submits customer Steel Resale program material forms
Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e., IATF16949, ISO14001)
Understands, promote and live by Magna’s philosophies and Employee Charter
Adheres to Modatek’s core values, integrity, respect, trust, honesty, fairness and loyalty
