Responsibilities
Account Ownership & Financial Analysis
- Own assigned balance sheet accounts, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Ensure balances are accurate, supported, review-ready, and analyze fluctuations, variances, and key account activity.
Reconciliations & Issue Resolution
- Prepare timely reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation, investigate discrepancies, and drive issues to resolution with sustainable corrective actions.
Ownership & Accountability
- Manage assigned accounting matters through completion, provide status updates, and ensure commitments, risks, and action plans are effectively tracked and resolved.
Documentation, Audit Support & Team Development
- Maintain process documentation and SOPs, support internal and external audits, provide cross-training, and mentor Staff Accountants through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process, control, reporting, and automation improvements that strengthen scalability, efficiency, and organizational resilience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline.
- 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience performing month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and financial analysis.
- Experience owning significant balance sheet accounts or accounting processes.
Preferred
- CPA, CPA candidate, or demonstrated progress toward professional certification.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Annual Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
