Tarana Wireless is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our global Finance & Accounting team. This position is based in India and will report directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting in the United States.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting General Ledger (GL) accounting, Fixed Assets, weekly cash reconciliation, account reconciliations, and monthly financial close. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, hands-on experience with NetSuite, and a positive attitude with a passion for
learning and continuous improvement.
As part of a global accounting organization, the successful candidate should be comfortable collaborating across different time zones and be willing to maintain some overlap with U.S. business hours to support meetings, month-end close, and other business-critical activities. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare, analyze, and post monthly accrual journal entries, ensuring expenses are recognized in the appropriate accounting period and supported by adequate documentation.
- Perform General Ledger (GL) accounting, including account analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Manage the Company’s Fixed Assets, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate fixed asset records.
- Prepare and perform weekly cash reconciliation activities, including cash reconciliations, monitoring bank balances, recording cash transactions, and assisting with cash reporting.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
- Prepare month reporting package and coordinate with the Accounting/Finance team to finalize.
- Assist with external/internal audits and tax return filing by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
- Collaborate with the U.S. accounting team and cross-functional business partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and system efficiencies.
- Support cross-functional initiatives, system implementations, and other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong experience in General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, Cash.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
