The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accountingrole is part of a team responsible for recording, reviewing, and reporting on debt, equity, and other fund related areas. This role would also work closely with other accounting teams to assist with different tasks related to financial reporting and monthly close. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist managing approval of invoices in queue daily   
  • Review calculation and build journal entries for property management and maintenance fees on a monthly basis 
  • Manage fixed assets for office equipment and build outs and Corporate IT projects. 
  • Assist with preparation of monthly journal entries related to accruing professional fees related to G&A, IT projects, tax estimates, payroll, and other corporate expenses.  
  • Assist with analysis of the G&A Expenses at Corporate level to identify key drivers for changes in performance, trends, and potential anomalies, for management review  
  • Assist with maintaining and compiling required corporate workpapers including, but not limited to, reconciliations for prepaids, accrued expenses for G&A, payroll, fixed assets, work in progress tracker, fluctuation analysis, & budget to actual review; these workpapers are required to support timely financial reporting and are key internal financial reporting controls  
  • Review of leases related to our office spaces  
  • Complete monthly Blackline tasks and reconciliations 
  • Work within & follow rules of Link’s complex cash/intercompany structure  
  • Work with the Transactions department to assist with providing information on prepaid acquisition/dead deal costs. 
  • Assist with monthly ad-hoc requests and projects 
  • Assist with questions from other departments on their G&A or other issues 
  • Communicate with both other accounting and company wide departments 
  • Work well with a team to assist staff accountants & external consultant team members with questions or training when needed 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Attention to detail for timely and accurate reporting  
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel  
  • Prior Corporate Accounting Experience (preferred)  
  • Real Estate Industry (preferred)  
  • Yardi experience (preferred)  
  • BA/BS in relevant field  
  • 3+ years of experience
