Senior Accountant- Business Services
Description
We are seeking a senior accountant to support a key client in the corporate services team. You will report to the Senior Manager, having responsibility for accurate management accounts preparation. You will be responsible for a number of entities in the group together with certain key processes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain international exposure to a client which has in excess of $40bn assets under management.
Job specification
• Provide day-to-day accounting and financial reporting services to the group of client accounts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Take ownership of key accounting processes which drive the group accounts.
• Become an entity owner, taking full responsibility for the accounting and reporting of certain entities in the group.
• Ensure data control is adhered to and all processes are followed with the opportunity to expand and improve current processes.
• Address client and team queries promptly.
• Become and expert user of the client accounting system.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the planning, coordination, and completion of client deliverables.
• Ensuring reporting complies with entity and statutory requirements including local law, relevant GAAP or IFRS and other reporting principles.
• Ad-hoc client requests and project work.
• You will utilize your excellent organizational skills and sound judgment to meet and exceed client expectations, address their service needs, and meet their deadlines.
Skills Required
• BCom Accounting Degree (or similar).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field of Finance/Accounting/Audit.
• Experience with group consolidations and technical IFRS areas such as IFRS 16 and share based payments desirable.
• Management accounting in the asst management or private credit space will be a distinct advantage.
• Experience with Oracle (NetSuite) a distinct advantage.
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.
• Motivated and driven.
