About The Position | Major Goals and Objectives and Location Requirements:

The Senior Account Manager, D/Cipher plays a crucial role in the growth and overall success of our Managed Service team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing client and internal relationships, ensuring the successful execution of programmatic advertising campaigns from start to finish, and delivering exceptional client service. You will work closely with our Sales, Trading, Research and Account Strategy teams to drive client success and business growth.

This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Position’s Contributions: Weight % Accountabilities, Actions, Expected Measurable Results:

Client and Internal Relationship Management (25%)

  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned clients as well as internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Trading, Account Strategy), fostering trusted, productive partnerships.

  • Navigate competing priorities by effectively managing expectations, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless communication across all groups.

  • Understand both client and internal partner objectives, translating business goals into actionable media and operational strategies.

  • Lead regular external and internal touch points to review performance, surface insights, and identify opportunities for optimization or growth.

Strategic Planning and Execution (25%)

  • Develop strategic media plan recommendations that align with business objectives and leverage data-driven insights to maximize ROI and empower the Trading team to deliver best-in-class performance.

  • Coordinate with Research & Insights to develop strategic targeting recommendations and confirm scalability across campaigns. 

  • Participate in pre-sale brainstorms to identify tactics best aligned with client KPIs and performance goals.

  • Stay current with industry innovation, automation tools, and programmatic trends to proactively advise both clients and internal teams.

Campaign Management and Analysis (25%)

  • Partner with the Trading team to ensure campaigns are accurately implemented, QA’d, delivered and optimized for performance.

  • Analyze campaign data to surface trends, performance insights, and optimization recommendations using relevant platforms and dashboards.

  • Deliver clear, data-backed reporting that highlights performance against KPIs and informs strategic decision-making.

  • Coordinate with Campaign Analytics to evaluate campaign outcomes, quantify impact, and inform forward-looking strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication (25%)

  • Act as a central connector across internal teams, streamlining workflows and coordinating tasks in Airtable, ensuring that project timelines, deliverables, and communications remain on track.

  • Lead regular status meetings, preparing and sharing agendas, capturing next steps, and ensuring timely follow-up and accountability.

  • Translate complex technical or operational concepts into clear, actionable direction for multiple audiences.

  • Continuously refine, document, and champion process improvements to drive operational efficiency and consistency across teams.

  • Balance competing projects and deadlines with precision and strong attention to detail.

  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges to ensure a seamless experience for both internal and external partners.

About The Team | The Team and/or Brand:

D/Cipher is People Inc.’s in-house media platform and activation team, fueled by the rich user engagement data of People Inc., the nation’s largest publisher.  D/Cipher helps advertisers make informed media buying decisions on and off People Inc. content. The D/Cipher Client Services team is responsible for ensuring successful execution of D/Cipher managed service programmatic campaigns, and collaborating with internal teams to drive client success and business growth.

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of consultative, client-facing work in programmatic advertising, digital media buying or related fields.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced start-up environment.

  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple projects and team responsibilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and internal stakeholders as well as work independently on daily tasks.

  • Eager to learn new systems, technologies, and advertising techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Experience with Airtable strongly preferred. 

  • Experience with DSP platforms such as TTD, AdTheorent, Amazon DSP strongly preferred.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
