Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of Brand PR account teams, overseeing and developing multi-market campaigns
- Identifying potential leads and areas of growth within existing clients as well as broader opportunities from a prospecting perspective
- Counselling clients confidently and maturely on communications marketing including PR, digital, social and content creation
- Overseeing client programs and driving creative campaigns
- Drive sustainability-focused campaigns for multi-national organizations and act as a subject matter expert in this space
- Writing PR proposals and other strategic communications materials to grow existing accounts
- Leading new business pitches including developing RFI / RFP proposals and formal pitch meetings
- Taking responsibility for a portfolio of accounts and managing teams, developing junior team members, and line management responsibilities
- Directing media engagement strategy for clients and coaching teams to activate and deliver coverage, leading from the front
- Full responsibility for overall financial management – forecasting, hours allocation for team members, project & plan budgeting, managing servicing levels.
- Support and develop Edelman’s IP and marketing initiatives, helping to develop our position in the market and maximizing the role of the Edelman Trust Barometer for existing and potential clients
Experience, Skill and Qualifications required
- Strong experience in the fields of public relations, communications, marketing or similar
- Strong, proven track record of creative capabilities and best in class media relations, across significant strategic and global communications
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to provide clear and comprehensive feedback on documents to junior members
- Strong understanding of digital and other technologies for storytelling and communications
- Experience of working to and maintaining significant budgets, pulling together detailed budget plans, and demonstrating an understanding of client financial models and targets
- Experience of writing and delivering multi-market toolkits
- Proven ability in identifying areas of growth and opportunity for clients
- Proven experience working with Global Brands in an integrated communications role
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and unite teams behind a central concept, with experience of successfully selling in those concepts to clients and seeing them through to execution
