Job Description:
Petcare Digital Technologies (DT) has recently evolved their strategy from a strong divisional focus to a segment-wide agenda. To support this, the Petcare DT Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is also shifting from supporting primarily two divisions to now governing the full Petcare DT strategy and portfolio.
This role will be important to help make this shift as Petcare DT starts to deliver a change agenda beyond divisional programmes of work in areas that protect our operational imperatives, make our divisions stronger together and create new growth platforms. This role will aim to help establish consistency in process and framework working across our segment strategic pillars and 5 Petcare divisions.
What are we looking for?

This role will be the custodian of key portfolio management and governance processes. This role is responsible for building relationships and collaboratively working with other DT leads to help define, co-create and embed these processes into Petcare DT. On a regular basis this role will support and advise Divisions or strategic segment pillars to ensure these processes are being run effectively. Being part of the MGS Portfolio community of practice this role will influence on behalf of the segment regarding improvements and changes to process and tools.

The role will also work on a periodic basis with Petcare Segment Leaders and their teams to review their project portfolios ensure demand is captured, aligned to strategy, prioritised and being managed effectively. Risks, issues and opportunities will be flagged on a periodic basis to be fed into existing wider Petcare Governance forums.

This role will engage with the Petcare CIO directly on driving the communications agenda including preparation for executive level briefings and co-defining agendas for associate engagement / briefing sessions on a periodic and quarterly basis.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Segment Portfolio Management Lead

Partner with the segment DT strategic pillar leaders to ensure their segment portfolio change is accurately captured and managed against agreed governance to help drive value for the segment.

Consults with Segment Digital leaders to align business needs and targets with agreed Digital strategic directions as part of the Digital strategic business planning process.

Partner with the demand owners and delivery team members to ensure segment demand meets quality assurance and compliance standards are met both at the individual initiative level and at a globally rolled-up level

Provide support to Segment Senior PMO Manager for planning cycles and ongoing portfolio prioritisation
Segment Process Expert

Define, establish and embed effective processes, frameworks and ways of working to bring maturity and consistency across multiple segment strategic pillars including activities such as IVCP and AEP as well as portfolio management processes e.g. Benefits Management.

Act as the segment portfolio management tool and process Super User, being part of the MGS portfolio community of practice. Provide a voice to represent improvements and changes to the global process and tools.

Committed to portfolio management process improvement by unlocking speed and agility for the Digital teams using means such as design thinking and automation
Segment Communications Lead

Work with the Petcare CIO and key partners to drive communicating effectively our portfolio change agenda to Petcare senior leaders and all Petcare DT associates

Supports the Segment PMO Senior Manager in preparation for key business facing portfolio decision forums.
