Job Summary

Responsible for low level security assignments with direction from senior team members. Establish basic understanding of Security operations and processes, which may include research and investigation of security events or project related activities. Assesses security controls through security testing or other means to ensure effectiveness. Create documentation and work activities in a clear, comprehensive manner, always maintaining high quality work. Demonstrates problem solving, research, and functional area knowledge.

What you’ll do:

Essential Job Functions & Tasks

  • Participates in basic Security projects/initiatives/incidents.
  • Associated tasks:  Gather data and information according to assigned tasks.
  • This may include intelligence as a first line of defense against threats and vulnerabilities, exploits and attacks, against the enterprise.
  • Determine appropriate course of action with Supervisory assistance.  
  • Develop clear documentation and convey information to senior team members or others, depending on the situation, enabling them to prevent situations from escalating further. 
  • Obtain and adhere to strict procedures established to ensure effective and successful operations within Security.  
  • Plan activities effectively within the context of assigned projects or tasks.  
  • Develop working relationships with other Security personnel to better understand all areas of Security and to ensure seamless operations.

Physical Security Systems Administration

  • Configure and maintain system settings, badge access levels, user accounts, roles, permissions, workflows, and integrations.

  • Support system upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management.

  • Coordinate issue resolution and technical improvements with vendors, contractors, and internal partners.  

  • Manage tracking and reporting for preventive maintenance testing programs.

  • Support physical security assessments, site reviews, commissioning activities, and operational readiness efforts.

  • Lead tracking and follow-up activities associated with physical security incidents, corrective actions, and mitigation plans.

  • Support security technology projects, modernization initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

  • Lenel OnGuard administration experience preferred.

  • SQL query development and report writing.

  • Microsoft SQL Server experience.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, dashboards, formulas, and data analysis.

  • Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools.

  • Security system integrations and data interfaces.

  • ServiceNow dashboard development skills.

 

Additional Job Duties:

  • Some travel and overtime may be required. This position could be required to do shift work or be "On call" 24x7x365.

  • SOC/CIRC: Work shifts that rotate throughout month/year covering all possible schedule variations/rotation possibilities. 

  • SOC/CIRC: Plan activities effectively within the context of round-the-clock, shift operations.  

What We're Looking For:

Education & work requirements are listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree with one year relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment).No additional experience required in addition to experience identified above.

$74,551.00 - $93,188.50

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Associate's degree with one year of relevant experience in system administration, help desk, or cybersecurity/physical security
