Job Description:
Security Officer - PRN
Provides security and protection to the person and property of those entering Baptist Health Paducah and secondary buildings associated with the operations of Baptist Health buildings, equipment, supplies, and report any misuse of any hospital buildings, equipment, and properties.
Job Duties:
- Answers all calls for service and answers questions concerning these calls or responds accordingly.
- Investigates all incidents involving criminal matters, completes an incident report and reports such matters as appropriate to the proper authority.
- Required to subdue and/or de-escalate high stress, tense situations involving combative person(s) for an unknown period of time.
- Able to assist and complete required fire checks (Fire Extinguishers and Exit Signs on a monthly basis.)
- Conducts routine internal and external foot patrols on the main campus and issue parking violations and assist with traffic control as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Driver’s License
- Must obtain BLS within 3 months of hire. Use of Force certification, including exposure to OC spray, pressure points and control tactics and Taser training within 6 months
Preferred Requirements:
- Two (2) years’ experience in the field of Law Enforcement, Security, Military and/or Corrections
Skills Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire
- Obtain Use of Force certification, including OC spray, pressure points, and control tactics, within 6 months
- Complete Taser training within 6 months
- Two years of experience in law enforcement, security, military, or corrections
