CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Notifies local police department when backup is necessary.

2. Inspects building, equipment, and access points.

3. Permits entry of allowed personnel after verifying identity.

4. Informs violators of policy and procedures and restrains trespassers.

5. Controls traffic by directing drivers.

6. Checks surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.

7. Submits reports of surveillance activity and unusual occurrences.

8. Secures all exits, doors, and windows after end of operations.

9. Investigates people for suspicious activity or possessions.

10. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license

Certification and Licensing:
