Wholesale & International: Our Wholesale & International unit drives new business opportunities and customer engagement. As part of the Business and Wholesale division, the Cyber Security and Managed Services team operates as a managed services provider (MSP) to provide a range of specialised and innovative IT solutions that empower our customers to grow and thrive. Our comprehensive offerings encompass transformative services such as SDWAN (Software Defined Wide Area Networking) design and Implementation, Microsoft 365 Security Reviews, fully managed SIEM/SOC, 24x7 service desk, Essential 8 assessments and maturity level uplifts, gap and risk analysis, telephony solutions, and more.

Job Description
Role Purpose
Superloop is excited to offer this amazing opportunity for a seasoned Security Engineer with both a passion for and demonstrated history in cyber security services including network and cloud security, SOC/SIEM, security assessments, risk and compliance and attack surface management. This role Is perfect for someone with Intrinsic understanding and a wealth of experience in cyber security and related technologies.
Based in Melbourne or Sydney, this role offers the chance to make a significant contribution. As a Superloop Security Engineer, you will work with our clients to help them improve cyber security posture and collaborating with product management on influencing security strategy. Your role will be Instrumental in ensuring the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable cyber security technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth M365 security reviews to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and areas for improvement in customers Microsoft 365 environments
- Perform Essential 8 assessments to evaluate customers adherence to essential cyber security mitigation strategies and identify gaps in their security posture
- Collaborate with customers to develop tailored strategies and roadmaps for Essential 8 maturity level uplifts, guiding them towards achieving and maintaining optimal security maturity
- Manage security focused projects from concept through to delivery, aligning technical solutions with both the customers business objectives and Superloop’s strategic direction
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on cyber security best practices, policies, and procedures to clients, helping them mitigate risks and strengthen their security defences.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on SIEM, M365 security, and Essential 8 frameworks, staying abreast of emerging threats and technologies in the cyber security landscape
- Collaborate with sales, Pre-Sales, service, and product teams to ensure the smooth Integration of security solutions with existing IT Infrastructure.
- Stay ahead of the curve by exploring and learning about the latest technological advancements in relation to cyber security, both within Australia and abroad. Leverage these Innovations to enhance Superloop’s service offerings
- Supporting the SOC (Security Operations Centres) team in customer engagement and incidents, providing feedback to Product management.
- Create detailed documentation for all security projects and platforms implementations
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning by mentoring junior team members and providing technical leadership. Your expertise will not only shape the future of our network solutions but also Inspire the team at Superloop.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum least 5 years proven experience in cyber security with respect to
- Security consulting – Security Assessment (Essential 8), PEN testing and Attack Surface Management.
- Managed Security – SOC/SIEM, Firewall/IDS/IPS/ATP.
- Microsoft security – 365 & Azure.
- Non mandatory but proof knowledge of
- Email security solutions – Microsoft, Proofpoint, Mimecast, Abnormal, Avanan (Checkpoint)
- Risk and compliance
- Familiarity with CWPP, SWG, CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker), DLP (Data Loss Prevention), IOT security & Secure Access Service Edge
- Advanced Security concepts – Zero Trust. Attack Surface Management, DFIR, APTs, Security & compliance frameworks (NIST, CSP, CREST, ISO/IEC 27001(ISMS), GDPR)
- Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks
- Deep knowledge of security technologies and protocols, including reviews and analysis of potential and ongoing customer solutions
- Demonstrable experience in Implementing and managing SIEM solutions (Microsoft Sentinel Implementations and/or management of would we highly regarded)
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features, including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Azure Security Centre
- Familiarity with Essential 8 mitigation strategies and frameworks, with hands-on experience conducting assessments and maturity level uplifts
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Strong project co-ordination skills that will support projects to completion within stringent timeline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant industry certification in relation to security (e.g. Essential 8 practitioner, Microsoft, NIST, Crest)
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Network Design and Implementation - successful designs tailored to meet customer expectations and the needs of the organization.
- Pre-Sales - assist with the technical Pre-Sales of potential and existing customers regarding their network requirements
- Technical Project Management - successful technical project management of network-related projects and Initiatives from concept to delivery
- Customer Engagement - direct engagement with customers to understand their networking needs and translate these into effective network architectures.
- Equipment and Software Deployment - Expert guidance on the selection and deployment of networking equipment and software
- Innovation - exploration and learning about the latest advancements in network technologies and applying these Innovations to enhance Superloop's offerings.
- Documentation - production of detailed documentation for all network architectures and configurations implemented
- Mentorship - providing technical leadership to junior team members and promoting a culture of excellence and ongoing learning.
Additional Information
We're currently in a position we need someone to come in and hit the ground running as the L&D team are strapped with training at the moment. Ideally, key requirements are previous experience in a CSR role (ideally in the telco industry), confident on the phone. Experience with Salesforce and within a SMB/Business Team would be a bonus
