Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Security Consultant – OT to support and deliver cybersecurity solutions for clients' operational technology and industrial control systems. This role is essential in helping safeguard critical infrastructure and ensuring the resilience of industrial environments. This role is critical to Cyderes' mission of delivering trusted cybersecurity solutions for operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS)

You will work closely with Principal, Senior and Security consultants and client teams to assess, implement, and maintain security measures that protect against evolving cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and implementing security solutions for client IACS environments, following standards such as ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Support security maturity assessments and help develop prioritized mitigation plans.
  • Help identify and remediate vulnerabilities in OT components (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems).
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with regulations (e.g., NERC CIP) and security documentation.
  • Participate in OT security incident response efforts alongside client engineering, operations, and IT teams.
  • Partner with the Security Operations Center and Senior Security Analysts monitoring client OT environments, using cross-platform technologies to support investigations, validate findings against known asset and process behavior, and enable coordinated response when anomalies are identified in industrial systems.
  • Contribute to evaluating OT/ICS security technologies (e.g., Claroty, Dragos, Nozomi Networks).
  • Support pre-sales activities for OT security initiatives.
  • Produce clear, well-organized documentation for clients, including assessment findings, risk and mitigation summaries, and status updates, translating technical OT security work into language that both engineering teams and executive stakeholders can act on.
  • Contribute to the team's collective OT security knowledge by documenting lessons learned from client engagements, helping refine internal assessment methodologies, and supporting the onboarding of newer team members as OT/ICS expertise grows within the practice.
  • Stay informed on evolving OT threat landscapes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of IT/OT security experience, with 2 years focused on OT security.
  • Familiarity with OT/ICS monitoring solutions (e.g. Claroty, Microsoft Defender for IoT, Dragos, Nozomi Networks, Armis, Industrial Defender, Forescout).
  • Strong knowledge of IACS architectures, OT protocols, and security frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NERC/CIP).
  • Experience with OT security framework assessments, risk assessments, and common tools (e.g., CSET).
  • Familiarity with OT/ICS communication protocols.
  • Work collaboratively in client-facing roles.
