Lazard is seeking a Senior Vice President to serve as SEC Reporting Manager within the Global Consolidation, SEC Reporting, and Accounting Policy Finance team. This is a leadership role responsible for setting the direction of the firm's external financial reporting function, overseeing the integrity and quality of SEC filings, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of the Firm’s 10-Q and 10-K filings, quarterly earnings releases, and related analyses and driving the continued evolution of the disclosure process. The SEC Reporting Manager acts as a strategic partner to Accounting Policy, Legal, Investor Relations, Internal and External Audit, and IT, and represents the SEC reporting function in front of senior management.
Reporting to our Head of Consolidation, SEC Reporting and Accounting Policy, this dynamic role will involve strategic ownership and hands-on delivery of the following:
We’ll trust you to:
Own overall accountability for the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of Lazard's 10-K and 10-Q filings, setting the standards by which disclosure information from global reporting units is collected, reviewed and approved.
Lead the drafting of Lazard’s quarterly earnings releases, working closely with senior management and Investor Relations.
Establish and maintain governance over the disclosure information workflow and certification process, ensuring the organization meets filing deadlines and reporting controls are consistently applied.
Serve as the senior point of contact for internal and external auditors and legal counsel throughout the filing cycle, resolving issues and aligning positions ahead of filing.
Lead disclosure committee meetings, driving discussion on emerging disclosure matters and ensuring appropriate escalation to senior stakeholders.
Partner with departments across the firm to source all data required for 10-Q/K disclosures.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships with finance, business units, investor relations, and all levels of management.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Maintain oversight of quarterly SEC and US GAAP compliance checklists, ensuring the firm's filings remain current with evolving regulatory requirements.
Monitor the external accounting and SEC landscape, assess the impact of new or amended standards, and direct the design of disclosure templates and process changes in partnership with Accounting Policy and IT.
Oversee the integrity of XBRL tagging and ensure disclosures in the annual proxy are consistent with data published in the 10-Q/K and earnings releases.
Champion the ongoing modernization of the SEC filing process, identifying opportunities to expand the use of Workiva and other technologies to improve efficiency and control.
Represent the reporting function on cross-functional and system initiatives that affect SEC filings, including the firm's new consolidation system.
You’ll need to have:
10+ years of progressive experience in SEC reporting and public accounting, including experience operating at a senior level within a complex, public-company reporting environment.
Active CPA designation preferred.
Strong technical accounting expertise and command of SEC and US GAAP disclosure requirements.
Proven experience leading teams, managing senior stakeholders, including auditors, legal counsel, and executive management, and partnering with cross-functional teams
Strong experience with Workiva (including WData) and XBRL.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
SAP – Analysis for Office and Disclosure Management experience a plus.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and executive communication skills, both written and oral.
Strategic orientation balanced with the highest standards of accuracy and precision; able to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $160,000 - 190,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
