Position SummaryThe Search & Browse Analyst plays a key role in improving how customers discover and shop Fleet Farm online. This position is responsible for optimizing onsite search, navigation, taxonomy, category pages, filtering, facets, and browse experiences to improve product discoverability, customer engagement, conversion, and online sales.
You'll analyze customer behavior and site performance, identify opportunities, and implement improvements in partnership with Merchandising, eCommerce, Digital Product, Marketing, IT, UX, and vendor partners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining eCommerce analytics, digital merchandising, and customer behavior to create a better online shopping experience.
What You'll DoSearch & Browse Optimization- Optimize onsite search, browse, navigation, taxonomy, filtering, and facets to improve product discovery.
- Analyze search behavior, customer journeys, and site performance to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop recommendations to improve search relevance, product rankings, navigation, and browse experiences.
- Execute search merchandising strategies including boosts, redirects, synonyms, rules, and promotional campaigns.
- Support seasonal launches, promotions, assortment changes, and new product introductions.
- Partner with Merchandising to ensure products are accurately categorized, tagged, and presented for optimal discoverability.
- Identify opportunities to improve product visibility and the customer shopping journey.
- Support category pages and browse experiences across Fleet Farm's digital assortment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align search and browse experiences with business priorities.
- Analyze customer behavior and large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and performance issues.
- Monitor KPIs including search conversion, click-through rate, zero-result searches, revenue, average order value, and engagement.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and actionable recommendations for business partners.
- Translate data into insights that improve search performance and eCommerce results.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting and operational processes.
- Participate in A/B testing and experimentation to evaluate search and browse enhancements.
- Analyze test results and recommend improvements based on customer behavior and performance data.
- Partner with Digital Product, UX, IT, Marketing, and vendor partners to implement improvements.
- Stay current on eCommerce search, digital merchandising, customer behavior, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, eCommerce analytics, onsite search, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce search, digital merchandising, product discovery, navigation, taxonomy, and browse experiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to present insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience with Algolia strongly preferred; experience with Bloomreach or similar eCommerce search platforms is valuable.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 and eCommerce analytics preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendor partners.
