The role

At GoCardless, our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are at the forefront of our growth. They identify, engage, and qualify new opportunities to build a high quality sales pipeline. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an experienced and inspiring SDR Manager to lead a team in London and drive consistent, high quality pipeline across UK&I.

This is a hands on leadership role where you will coach, develop, and empower SDRs to execute at a high standard. You will embed strong day to day habits, raise outreach and qualification quality, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to improve conversion and pipeline impact.

What you will do
  • Lead a team of SDRs day to day, setting clear expectations and building a strong performance culture
  • Coach outreach, discovery, qualification, and objection handling through regular call reviews and feedback
  • Drive performance against key KPIs and quality measures, using data to identify trends and take action
  • Support hiring and onboarding, helping new starters ramp quickly and confidently
  • Run a strong team cadence including one to ones, team sessions, pipeline reviews, and skills coaching
  • Partner with AEs to improve alignment, handover quality, and feedback loops
  • Collaborate with Marketing and RevOps to improve routing, tooling, and campaign execution
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in messaging, sequencing, and prospecting strategy
What excites you
  • You love coaching and developing ambitious SDRs and helping them grow
  • You lead by example, creating an environment that celebrates learning, consistency, and achievement
  • You use data to improve results, stay focused on priorities, and raise quality
  • You care about culture, morale, and building a team that performs sustainably
  • You enjoy improving messaging and outreach using tools such as Salesforce and Gong
  • You collaborate well with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to deliver shared outcomes
  • You thrive in fast changing environments and enjoy building better ways of working
What excites us
  • You have proven experience managing SDRs or similar teams or you have recent, high performing outbound SDR experience (cold prospecting) and are ready to step into first time leadership
  • A strong coaching mindset, with examples of improving individual and team performance
  • Experience in a fast paced, target driven environment, ideally in B2B SaaS or a high growth scale up
  • Confidence in onboarding, ramp, and day to day performance management
  • Process driven and proactive, with a bias to action
  • Empathetic leader who builds trust, develops talent, and retains strong performers

We know not everyone will meet every requirement. If this role excites you and you believe you’d be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you.

What We Do

GoCardless is on a mission to take the pain out of getting paid for businesses with recurring revenue.

We’ve created a global bank debit network, to rival credit and debit cards. On top of it, we’ve built a platform designed and optimised for taking invoice, subscription, membership and instalment payments.

We now process $13bn in transactions a year and we’re proud to count 50,000 businesses around the world as our customers, from small businesses to household names like TripAdvisor and the Guardian.
