Position Summary
The Workiva Data Connectivity Manager will be part of the MetLife Workiva COE, supporting the design, administration, and enhancement of the Workiva Data Management Suite (Wdata), including tables, queries, views, chains, and data prep. The role focuses on curating trusted datasets, enabling scalable and controlled reporting workflows, and supporting audit-ready financial and regulatory reporting through centralized, connected data.
The role will partner with Finance, Actuarial, Risk/Compliance, and IT teams to consume, transform, validate, and distribute data from enterprise systems into Workiva, helping standardize reporting across the insurance landscape. As part of the COE, this role will define governance, standards, best practices, and reusable assets to ensure consistent, efficient, and scalable reporting.
Job Responsibilities
• Administer and configure Workiva ( Wdata ) to enable governed, query based reporting datasets
• Identifying/developing business requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping, testing, training, and support documentation.
• Curate, manage, and develop datasets (tables, queries, views) for insurance-related financial and regulatory reporting
• Automate data ingestion, transformation, validation, and refresh workflows using Chains and Data Prep
• Integrate data from upstream systems (e.g. Oracle, Workday or other data warehouses) into centralized reporting layers
• Ensure high data quality through reconciliations, validations, and strong control frameworks
• Establish governance standards and maintain audit-ready, traceable data processes with clear lineage
• Deployment and expansion of Workiva Platform across global enterprise
• Partner with business and IT teams to deliver scalable solutions, drive reusable templates, standard methods, training materials and enable user adoption
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
Bachelor's degree in any stream (e.g., Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields)
Experience

• 12 + Years consulting or functional finance industry experience
Technical Skills
- At least one full life cycle Workiva or similar EPM cloud technology implementation experience including deep Wdata expertise and application across SEC, Statutory, and other local and management reporting
- Proven ability to deliver compliant, tech-enabled reporting solutions and drive operating model improvements
- Strong data integration & architecture skills (ETL, modeling) with experience integrating ERPs, GLs, subledgers, CRMs, and data warehouses
- Proficient in SQL, data mapping, and transformations, with experience in AI/automation-led efficiency and scalability improvements
- Insurance/investments reporting domain knowledge; self-driven, results-oriented; Workiva certification preferred with data integration/transformation exposure

Skills Required
