Overview

At Lyric, the SDET/QA team is the engineering owner that architects scalable automation, strengthens release and CI/CD systems, and elevates quality across distributed services and ML-driven workflows. You’ll design test frameworks, guide engineers, and influence cross-team quality strategy—ensuring Lyric ships fast, safely, and with confidence.

• Test Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for both manual and automated testing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design detailed test cases.

• Automation Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing.

  • Write and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

  • Continuously improve and optimize existing automation processes.

• Manual Testing:

  • Perform thorough manual testing of new features, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects.

  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues in the software.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure software quality through continuous testing and validation.

  • Review code and conduct peer reviews to maintain coding standards.

  • Mentor junior SDETs and QA engineers, providing guidance and support.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in software testing.

  • Implement best practices and new tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

• Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 5-12 years of experience in software testing with a focus on both manual and automated testing.

  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining UI and API automation frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
