Job Summary:
A screening analyst, in the context of AML/CFT and KYC compliance, is a natural person, responsible for carrying out name screening, commonly known as watchlist screening or sanctions screening of the existing and prospective customers, business partners, associates or suppliers of a business, all referred as 'customers' for ease of understanding. His or her responsibilities also includes identifying PEPs, criminal activity, sanctions and individuals with general adverse media.
Key Responsibilities of a Screening Analyst

• Functional knowledge of which lists need to be screened for the business they are working for. The screening analyst must have clarity regarding which sanctions lists, watchlists, or internal blacklists they must screen their customers against.
• Background knowledge of AML/CFT and Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS) regulations.
• Ability to analyse screening results generated by various screening software, enter findings, and generate reports, both manually and through a name screening software.
• Review and remediate screening results and escalate adverse findings to the Risk & Compliance Department and/or MLRO.
• Assist with time sensitive ad hoc screening projects/requests through to completion.
• Provide reports and comprehensive detail of client entities/related parties to Senior Management and Compliance department.
• Supports the implementation and maintenance of applicable policies, procedures, controls and ensures adherence within own team.

Technical skills, experience and qualification

• 2- 3 years' experience in banking or corporate services
• Understanding of financial sanctions and ability to learn screening solutions (World check )
• Understanding of AML, KYC, Due diligence processes
• Work in line with internal procedures and under the guidance of the Leader.
• Pragmatic but critical approach, attention to detail and problem-solving mentality.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent fluency in English, both verbal and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
