Role Description
The SDET role combines software development and testing expertise to deliver high-quality software through automation. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure efficient and reliable testing processes.
The role will have a focus across multiple projects globally and will interact with project teams in different zones. This is an opportunity to work with different solutions and different teams.
Specific Role Responsibilities
· Design and implement robust, scalable automated test frameworks.
· Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback.
· Refactor and optimize automation scripts for reliability and efficiency.
· Collaborate with developers, Testers, and product teams to identify automation opportunities.
· Ensure high test coverage and contribute to defect prevention and early detection.
· Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards for test automation.
· Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members on automation best practices.
Experience required
· Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript or Python.
· Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Virtuoso, Playwright).
· Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
· UI Based automation testing experience
· Experience in natural language scripting / codeless automation solutions
· Experience with API automated testing
· Understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
· Solid experience with data driven testing with a good understanding of data requirements for automated testing
· Strong route cause analysis skills to resolve test automation maintenance
· Experience working in Agile environments.
· Excellent technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
