Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to provide subject matter expertise and guidance on project delivery methods while supporting Agile teams through effective facilitation, coaching, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

The Scrum Master will prepare training materials and sessions related to project delivery methodology and will support the acquisition, customization, documentation, integration, communication, and implementation of comprehensive IT standards and guidelines.

This role requires strong knowledge of Agile I&IT methods, Scrum practices, business analysis, DevOps environments, stakeholder management, and team coaching. The successful candidate will work closely with Agile teams and Product Owners, facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, resolve conflicts, manage backlogs, and help teams continuously improve their delivery performance.

Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on specific project methods.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions on project delivery methodology in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Acquire, customize, document, integrate, communicate, and implement comprehensive IT standards and guidelines.
  • Facilitate relationships between Agile teams and Product Owners.
  • Maintain a safe and productive working environment by supporting conflict resolution.
  • Lead Agile methodology practices and support development teams in self-organization.
  • Identify and address gaps within the Agile framework.
  • Mentor and coach teams to remove impediments.
  • Capture feedback and document sprint reviews to support project goals and improve team performance.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies and implement Scrum principles across development teams.
  • Model current and future business processes using BPMN and process-flow diagrams.
  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners on product backlog management, ensuring high-priority work is clearly defined and ready for development.
  • Perform gap analysis, identify process improvements, and make recommendations.
  • Track and analyze Agile metrics, including Burndown charts and Velocity, to improve team performance.
  • Manage and balance stakeholder requirements while maintaining alignment with development priorities.
  • Resolve conflicts within teams and between stakeholders to maintain productivity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum methodology and business analysis frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and processes, particularly CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain productivity within an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required Skills

Scrum and Agile Expertise

  • Demonstrated ability to lead Agile ceremonies and effectively implement Scrum principles across development teams.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I&IT) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Ability to educate and coach others on Agile methodology.
  • Experience helping Agile development teams with self-organization and continuous improvement.

Business Analysis

  • Strong understanding of business analysis frameworks.
  • Proficiency in modeling current-state and future-state business processes using BPMN and process-flow diagrams.
  • Strong requirements-gathering and documentation experience.
  • Ability to translate requirements into actionable user stories and process documents.
  • Experience performing gap analysis and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

DevOps

  • Previous experience working as a Scrum Master and Business Analyst within a DevOps environment.
  • Experience bridging development and operations teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes.

Backlog and Agile Metrics Management

  • Experience collaborating with Product Owners to manage product backlogs.
  • Ability to ensure high-priority work is well-defined and ready for development.
  • Experience tracking and analyzing Agile metrics such as Burndown charts and Velocity.

Cloud and Containerization

  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Lean Six Sigma Black/Green/Yellow Belt certifications.
  • Software development experience that supports effective communication with technical teams.
  • Experience within finance, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
