Purpose of the Role

The Scrum Master will play a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of the Bond & Repo project. This role is responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality outcomes aligned with ASX’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. This role is strategic in nature as it will be part of the persistent team which we want to establish for ASX Trade platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrum/Hybrid Agile Facilitation
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Be the Integration point of contact to manage key dependencies across teams within and outside LOB
• Ensure key dependencies are understood by the project team, help raise, track, prioritise within and outside of the LOBs.
• Ensure agile best practices are followed and adapted to the project’s needs.
• Team Enablement
• Coach and mentor team members in agile principles and practices and align with the enterprise delivery governance framework.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Impediment Removal
• Proactively identify and resolve blockers to delivery.
• Escalate issues to project governance forums as required.
• Stakeholder Engagement and working with internal ASX teams
• Liaise with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly.
• Continuous Improvement
• Drive process improvements and adoption of new tools (e.g., CI/CD, automation, observability platforms).
• Support the team in adapting to evolving requirements and priorities.
• Delivery Governance and helping in RAIDD
• Ensure delivery milestones are met and documented.
• Support reporting and compliance with ASX’s delivery framework.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master and or Integration Manager in large-scale, complex technology projects in Finance industry, would prefer Capital Markets – Bond & Repo.
• Strong understanding of both Waterfall & agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, Infrastructure, etc.).
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Expertise in managing work breakdown structure using collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
• Knowledge of financial markets or trading platforms (desirable).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Sprint velocity and delivery of committed scope.
• Manage Integration dependencies, and resolve impediments
• Reduction in delivery impediments and blockers.
• Stakeholder satisfaction and team engagement scores.
• Timely achievement of project milestones.
• Adoption of agile practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
