Your Role:
The Digital Payment Transformation is a strategic initiative aimed to modernize payment processing for CSAA Insurance Systems. It involves the transition from traditional, manual payment methods to digital, automated solutions. This transformation aims to enhance efficiency, security, and customer experience for both inbound and outbound payment processing.
The Digital Payment Transformation will revolutionize CSAA Insurance Systems payment landscape by fully embracing digital capabilities, the company aims to streamline processes, enhance customer experience, and achieve significant operational efficiencies. This transformative endeavor will enable the seamless processing of both inbound and outbound payments, including support for a wide range of digital payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Digital Wallets, Cash Apps, Zelle, etc
As an experienced Scrum Engineer, you'll provide servant leadership and be the facilitators for agile teams working under the scrum methodology. You're the point person responsible for understanding the big development picture of each sprint. You bridge the needs of product management, sales, marketing, operations, and product development. This role works closely with the product owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers.
Your work:
- Supports one Scrum team to ensure an efficient operating cadence and coordinates team ceremonies inclusive of daily scrum, backlog grooming, planning, end of sprint demonstrations and retrospectives.
- Facilitates discussions, ensures proper documentation in collaboration with other team members.
- Removes impediments and/or guides the team to remove impediments by finding the right resource to assist.
- Shields the team from outside distractions and interferences.
- Partners with Scrum Coach to assist team with to adopt advanced scrum practices (TDD, Paired programming, continuous integration)
- Assists team and release manager with release planning and deployment strategy.
- Monitors, reviews, and maintains the sprint backlog in coordination with the Product Owner and other team members.
- Assists with internal and external communications.
- Assigns tasks, monitors work progress, and sets standards to ensure quality output from the team.
- Provides base team sprint and backlog reporting (burn down, velocity, etc.)
- Coordinates retrospectives and works with the team to implement the improvements and opportunities identified during those meetings
What would make us excited about you?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience leading Scrum Teams
- 2 + years of project management or software development management experience.
- Track record of managing work, identifying risks and delays.
- Ability to help teams overcome roadblocks and impediments.
- Good facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continual improvement
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact proficiently with all levels of management and staff.
- Self-directed and self-motivated.
- Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.)
- Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.)
- Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.
- Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc

The national average salary range for this position is $144,450-$160,500. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full [salary range] for this position across all the states we hire in is $129,870-$192,500. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
