The opportunity
In this internship role, you will have the chance to support the SCM Supply Quality and Sustainability Managers by providing key deliverables in the areas of Circularity and Supplier Assessments. You will report directly to the Head of Change Management and Continuous Improvement, based in Zurich, Switzerland but will support the SCM Supply Quality and Sustainability Managers on a remote basis.

How you'll make an impact

Supporting the reporting and documentation of Supply Chain circularity metrics (GRI 301-1 and GRI 301-2).

Reviewing and enhancing existing scenario planning models for supply chain decarbonization

Investigating the maturity and feasibility of Digital Passport ecosystem-driven tools such as AAS from Platform Industrie 4.0, EU Data Space for Manufacturing, etc. Collaborate with Hitachi Group colleagues for this purpose.

Supporting the investigation into the maturity of the green materials market (steel, including e-steel, aluminum, and copper).

Elaborating competitor benchmarking reports in the field of green materials

Supporting the development of internal control and data gaps for supplier sustainability assessment Process.

Obtaining and securing DUNS numbers of suppliers to ensure complete visibility of sustainability risk

Collaborating to ensure the hierarchy of suppliers and their traceability in EcoVadis
Your background

University degree
-
Interest in relevant area of circularity and ESG
-
Experience with Microsoft tools

Business fluency in English (essential, both verbally and in writing); knowledge of other languages is an asset

Strong interpersonal skills

Proactive approaches to problem-solving
