We are looking for a passionate and talented individual with who has in-depth technical mastery and sharp learning agility in developing superior propositions for the Indian consumer. Innovation experience is required in terms of identifying consumer insights and leading the effort of product design qualification to deliver meaningful consumer value. The role will be focused on Asia and Africa regional product development and will stretch from end-to-end idea inception all the way to in-market monitoring.
Your Team
Located at Mumbai, India, you will report to a R&D manager and be part of a growing team of functional and technical experts in leading projects across the region. You will also have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams like sales, marketing, analytics, GPS, manufacturing, quality, procurement, etc.
What success looks like
Success in this role is based on ability to merge technical, consumer acceptance and sensory data to make product recommendations. The individual would be able to successfully manage all consumer and technical qualification aspects to deliver new products to market.
Responsibilities of the role
· Design, execute, and analyze consumer insights and claims' tests results
· Understand consumer needs and work with multi-functional teams to develop new strategies to delight our consumers
· Partner with technologists to develop and test out prototypes
· Capture key insights and technical findings from research projects and share results & recommendations in a clear succinct manner
· Lead technical teams to qualify new products/packaging
Job Qualifications

Prerequisites
- Education: M.Sc or M.Tech from top universities with 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience OR PhD in Science or Engineering from top universities with 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
- Consumer Research Expertise: In-depth knowledge of consumer tests, deriving insights, communication, demos, claims, and product innovation amongst others.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement systemic fixes.
- Influencing Skills: Strong leadership and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and regions.
This role will require some travel within India and abroad hence the
candidate should be open to travel.
