Position Overview

H.B. Fuller seeks a Senior Scientist I, Engineering Adhesives to lead innovation, technology strategy, and product development for Reactive Adhesives (Epoxy, MMA, Anaerobic) and/or MS/STP and Silicone platforms. Based in Shirwal, India, this role drives the innovation roadmap, leads complex development programs, and supports commercialization of new technologies. The position serves as a technical leader, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver market-driven solutions and sustainable business growth.
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
  • Lead product, process, and technology innovation programs using Stage Gate methodology
  • Identify market opportunities through customer, industry, and competitive analysis
  • Drive commercialization, scale-up, and technology transfer to manufacturing
  • Provide advanced technical support for key customer projects and escalations
  • Build and maintain intellectual property through patents and proprietary technologies
  • Mentor scientists and engineers to strengthen technical capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational excellence standards
     

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymer Science with 12+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 10+ years; or PhD with 7+ years
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale R&D and innovation programs
  • Expertise in applying scientific principles to complex adhesive technology challenges
  • Strong project management, technical writing, and presentation skills
  • Authorization to work in India and ability to travel up to 20% as required
