The Role

• This position is part of the APS QA Lab in Kulim.

• You will serve as a subject matter expert in CRDS systems, APIMS, and TD-GC-MS for gas purity analysis.

• Key responsibilities include supporting quality processes through sample preparation, test execution, data analysis, and generating reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, as effective communication is critical to success.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a Scientist in the APS QA Lab.

• Perform ultra-high purity (UHP) analytical testing using established laboratory methods and procedures.

• Calibrate, operate, and maintain scientific instruments and laboratory equipment.

• Present results through clear written reports and oral communication.

• Apply scientific principles, theories, and concepts to support laboratory activities and assigned projects.

• Manage multiple laboratory tasks and priorities efficiently.

• Relocate sampling lines at various heights throughout the facility for internal product testing, which may require working on ladders.

• Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

What We Seek

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science, or a related discipline.

• 1–2 years of general laboratory or materials quality experience.

• Experience with analytical instrumentation is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic understanding of ultra-high purity (UHP) cleaning and handling techniques.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have

• Strong multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Familiarity with the use of basic hand tools.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during test setup activities.

• Comfort working at heights and climbing ladders when required.
