POSITION OVERVIEW
The overall purpose of the Lab Technician III in R&D is to be lab based and to provide help to business by supporting in development/introduction of hotmelt, PSHMA products. The Lab Technician III reports to Sr. Scientist and is responsible for carrying out lab experiments for new products, RM substitution. Responsibility also includes support in testing of substrates, analysis of competition samples as requested by Technical specialist/Customers.
This position is located in Shirwal, Dist. Satara, Maharashtra India.
PRIMARY DUTIES
General Lab work:
The Lab Technician III is mainly responsible for carrying out experiments for product development, product localization, RM substitution. This function is key driver for hotmelt and PSHMA development. Lab technician III will coordinate with other supporting functions like planning, production, quality and assist in pilot plant scale-up, transfer of products to full production and provide plant support including quality troubleshooting and root cause analysis. All the results need to be documented in a professional manner.
Lab technician III is responsible to support technical specialist, sales team by testing of customer substrates, competition sample analysis & compare the same with H.B. Fuller’s products, support in troubleshooting.
A Lab Technician III shall fulfill responsibilities as required by the Quality System, Safety, and SOP s for the site, laboratory, and business unit. Technician III drives experiment and daily work according to HB Fuller safety procedure.

Minimum Requirements
- Education with background & degree in Polymer Chemistry
- 4-5 years of R&D lab experience in chemical industry, preferably in adhesives.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in local language and English, interaction with internal and external customers, ability, and willingness to work in a team environment (multinational)
- Good PC skills in Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
