A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Scientist at STM (f/m/d), you will partner with STM STT and PTH R&D Team and support them in the Plating on Glass project, the development of adhesive glass processes and its characterization. In this role, you will report to the R&D Manager STM STT R&D
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Driving product development projects to a successful conclusion
- Resolving troubleshooting cases within the project
- Experimental set up and cooperation with internal and external partners
- Supporting the STM STT and PTH R&D Team in decision making
- Travel Requirements: Up to 25 % of Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:
- Degree in Chemistry or Physics engineering or similar qualification, PhD desirable
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Plating on Glass work experience
- Surface analytics to identify and characterize adhesive layers.
Preferred Skills:
- analytical thinking

- ability to work in a team, communication skills, organizational skills, flexibility, ability to work independently, ability to cope with pressure.
- Good PC user skills in MS office and statistics (JMP)
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- willingness to travel abroad
Main Duties:
- Supervision of experiment planning, control, execution, and evaluation according to project plan
- creation of documentations, documents, regulations, and reports for related products and Processes
- ensuring the secrecy of the area of operation
- technical supervision executions of patent and literature screenings
- Ensure all work is completed safely & in compliance with laws, regulations & Atotech standards (e.g. Corporate Compliance etc.).
- Strong interaction with Project manager and R&D manager
